Inaugural Race for the Clinics Raises $200,000

Thanks to the enthusiastic and generous support of our sponsors, participants, and volunteers, Serotonin Surge Charities’ inaugural Race for the Clinics on Sunday May 20th at Natomas Oaks Park in Sacramento was a smashing success.  Our event featured running and walking events for people of all ages and abilities.  People had fun and got fit while raising $200,000 for a network of over twenty safety net medical clinics that  provide 250,000 patient care visits per year for men, women, and children in the Greater Sacramento region who are either medically uninsured or underinsured.  Over the past twenty years, “The Surge” has supported these clinics with a total of $3,600,000.  Special thanks Dave Miramontes and friends at A Change of Pace for being our race production partners.  We’ll be back in the Spring of 2018 with our second annual event.  Please check back here for details later in the year.

With gratitude,

John Chuck, M.D.
